Cabbage, Potato Soup Sausage Skewers w/ Smoked Thuringer Currywurst w/ Lentil Sauerkraut Red Cabbage Pork and Sausage Goulash |
BRAISED PORK, HOT SMOKED SAUSAGE AND POTATO GOULASH
You can use any Alpine Brand sausage for
this recipe; we decided to make it with the Alpine Brand Hot
Smoked Sausage. Serves 4 people.
1.5 cup cubed pork shoulder about 1"
1 cup diced onion
1 cup diced red bell pepper
3 cloves garlic chopped
2 tbs olive oil
º tsp ground cumin
º tsp chili powder
º tsp salt
º tsp ground black pepper
1 tbs tomato paste
1.5 cup chicken stock
1.5 cup sliced Alpine Brand Hot Smoked Sausage
1 cup diced potatoes ‡î
Season the pork with salt and pepper.
In a heavy duty sautÈ pan over high heat, add half of the
olive oil and let it warm up, add pork and cook until brown
7-10 minutes. Remove meat and juices reserving in a bowl.
Place pan back on the heat and add remaining olive oil. Add
onions and garlic, cook until golden brown. Add pepper, Hot Smoked Sausage and spices, stir to mix. Add chicken
stock, pork juices and pork meat. Cover and simmer for 30-45
minutes or until meat is tender. Add potatoes and cook 10
more minutes. Season to taste and enjoy!
